Long time no post...

So, it's been like FOREVER since I've blogged, I'm not sure why, I was very into it for a while but lately I just don't seem to find the time or the impetus to actually do it.

Anyway, most who read this know what's been up with me anyway, I went to Italy not long ago, I've been having boob issues, etc.

Well, as for Italy, it was truly lovely there (Tuscany anyway). Milan was a nightmare to drive in. We flew into Malpensa and it only took about a half hour to get to the outskirts of Milan, but then, guess how long it took us to find our hotel? Hmm... like 4 hours. No, really, I'm not kidding, it was insane. We were so frustrated and tired and sweaty (no A/C in the car) and I had to do all the driving because it was a manual transmission, ugh.

But we were only in Milan one night and then we drove to Lucca, the drive once out of the city was really nice, although they really do drive incredibly fast there, I was going 150 km/hour and people were passing me like I was sitting still.

Some highlights from Tuscany- the wine, even out of a grocery store, is really inexpensive and REALLY good, we never had a bad bottle. Cooking for ourselves most of the time was great, we like to cook and it was easy to make yummy stuff, lots of fresh veggies and fruits. Horseback riding outside Lucca was beautiful, I loved it. This great little jewelry store run by a cute little Italian guy, Georgio, he was so nice and we all exchanged info, really nice people in general there in Lucca. Probably the BEST thing about Italy though is the GELATO!!! Yum, yummy, yum yum. We ate it literally everyday, sometimes twice, my favorite flavors are limone, fragola, fruti di bocso, really anything tart and fruit flavored. So good... sigh.

I will try to post some pictures for y'all soon!

Words I learned in Italia- prego, grazie, semaphoro (sp), rotunda, fragola, fruti di bosco (sp).

did you like Mark and Molly's little guest house? And what did you think of Mark?
have been email buddies with Molly for about 8 years (maybe more) -- curious to hear your impressions of the place.

I did like the guesthouse, it was very nice. It was a little far from town and next time I'd like to stay closer, maybe even within the walls, but it was beautiful up there. And Mark was so nice, just a total British gentleman :)

so happy to hear that! It's a very special place, though it's true, a bit far from town, and on a very difficult road. Glad you got to see it though.
