Normal?

do you think it's normal to keep a 9mm loaded with hollow points under your pillow? is it a little psychotic or if one lives in a city like LA is it acceptable? just wondering...

It's neither normal nor a little psychotic. It's full-blown psychotic. And dangerous. And if you're dating someone who does that you should run as far and as fast as you can.

Off the top of my head, I'd say it's nucking futs to have something like that under your pillow; I understand that unless you are extrememely familiar with the weapon, the chances are high that if you ever bring it out, the person who just invaded your privacy will just take it from you and shoot you with it.

My weapon of choice in my car (in the house, I have Richard) is a Fish Billy. They sell them in the sporting goods section, and they are designed to be used to whack barracuda so that they do not rip everything up in the boat while flopping around. I would never be able to shoot anyone, but I could surely do a Tonya Harding on them.

Plus, it would probably make more sense to put another lock or two (or three) on the front door, and to make sure that there is no other way into the domicle that isn't secure.

we had a home invasion robbery in my building and that was in an apartment where a couple lives, they tied them up at gunpoint in the bathroom and took all their stuff. as for me, I'm very familiar and comfortable with guns, I've been shooting since I was 16, so that's not really an issue. as to the hollow points, they do more damage.

well i'm all for it as long as you know what you are doing . The sad thing is if you kill an intruder you may end up in jail yourself or sued by the intruders family
